Management Consultant

From day 1 you will be working on client sites as part of a project team delivering consultancy services to some of the UK’s leading companies. With exposure to the day to day issues we have to solve you will be supported by our Project Managers and Practice Directors in your development to ensure that you gain the skills and experience required to develop in your role. In your first year with us you will be working at all levels from the shop floor to the boardroom with the support of the wider project team.  Using your analytical skills, you will be working with reports to analyse trends and using your interpersonal skills you will be participating in workshops and training sessions developing and implementing new ways of working within our client’s operations.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery:

  • Be part of a project team working on a client site
  • Deliver agreed project activities to ensure project success
  • Implement project plans with support from the Project Manager and project team to achieve results
  • Participate in reviews of project deliverables to ensure that agreed targets are met
  • Work to agreed standards
  • Execute project plans and recommend revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs
  • Apply Managementors project methodology and ensure project standards are maintained
  • Review project deliverables and prepare reports outlining progress
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on a regular basis to agree project progress
  • Manage project risk and maintain risk log

Team Working:

  • Monitor performance and provide feedback through 1-1 meetings with the project manager
  • Take appropriate action to resolve performance issues
  • Be accountable for achieving results
  • Monitor progress towards team targets

Requirements

  • Exposure to a business environment (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience in change management
  • Experience of process and organisational change
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement performance improvement solutions within a variety of environments
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Ability to engage managers at all levels of an organisation in the change process
  • The ability to spot opportunities for improvement and to implement changes to enable realisation of benefits

Location

Our head office is in Theale Berkshire so the ability to commute there would be an advantage, but on a day to day basis the Consultant will be required to work on a Client’s site wherever that might be. Most projects are UK based but there may be opportunities for overseas work so another European language would also be an advantage.
