A team from Managementors recently completed a performance improvement project with Computacenter plc within the Global Managed Services Infrastructure division in Cape Town, South Africa: Project Cheetah.
The Infrastructure Operations underpins the delivery of infrastructure services to a prestigious customer base, providing ITIL services from incident, problem and change to capacity, availability, asset and service continuity management.
The project was split into 3 phases over 16 weeks and an existing tool was developed and remodelled alongside a complete set of operational standards for each activity and service line. This helped to support performance management and provide greater visibility and reporting to the management team to help them better understand what their teams were doing on a day-to-day basis.
Through remodelling processes, developing and installing a Management Operating System and providing close coaching to management at all levels, the project achieved significant operational and financial improvements and with various controls in place ensuring sustainability, Computacenter SA are ensuring that in an increasingly competitive market, they are able to deliver a first-rate service to their existing clients as well as be in a strong position to take on and successfully deliver new business opportunities.
