Managementors Giving Back

Here at Managementors we have been collectively striving to do as much as we can to give back to our beloved NHS, as well as helping those in need throughout these trying times.

There are number of voluntary schemes that our team has signed up to, such as:

  • Reading Voluntary Actionhttp://rva.org.uk/
    • A few of our team members have registered to be Coronavirus Response Volunteers where they have agreed to be called upon when the need for urgent support arises including ‘delivering food supplies, picking up prescriptions and telephoning isolated vulnerable people to check on their wellbeing.’
  • Team Herts Volunteeringhttps://www.thvolunteering.org.uk/covid-19
    • This is another countywide voluntary scheme that we have got involved with ‘to help those affected by coronavirus, as well as offering guidance and support to organisations who are providing vital support to those in need.’

Another one of our team members has signed up to  become an ‘Underdog Unity Neighbourhood Volunteer’ (https://www.theunderdog.org/become-a-unity-volunteer) to help those that are unable to walk their dogs due to the virus and need a helping hand.

Additionally, various members of staff have taken part in the ‘Run for Heroes – Run 5, Donate 5, Nominate 5’ challenge that is sweeping Instagram. The challenge requires you to run 5k, donate £5 to the NHS and nominate 5 friends to do the same!

One of our Senior Consultants, Emma, and her partner have also set up a Facebook page for ‘Lockdown Formal Friday’ where they aim to get as many people as possible to get ‘dolled up to the nines’ for an ‘at-home formal dinner party’ and donate to a charity of their choice. We encourage you all to get involved too! It’s a great way to improve mental well-being by providing something for you to look forward to, whilst fundraising for those that need it most.
