A ten man team from Managementors crossed the channel from The Hamble Southampton to Cherbourg in France. Despite the loss of a sail and a collision with some awkwardly placed fishing pots, the channel’s busy shipping lanes were successfully navigated to arrive in Cherbourg as planned! Working in watches the teams made the ten hour voyage and once in French waters various training exercises were completed; these included man over board, time trials and other navigational skills.
Chris Brooks, a new member of the team, explains: “Looking back it was an amazing achievement to sail across the channel and in addition to new sailing skills; the team is now a much stronger and more cohesive unit.”
